Play Time!

Kaden has been enjoying play time with Avery a lot lately. He wants to be close to her and play with her . I got this play pad out for Avery and I layed her on it, next thing I know Kaden was making his way right next to her. I didn't ask him to or anything, he just wanted to lay next to his sister and play. It was so cute! And of course part of playing is giving her lots of kisses!
Avery is becoming much more alert. She can hold her head up pretty well! Although she doesn't seem to last to long playing by herself. Of course I am sure she is use to her brother getting all up in her business!Kaden loves to share everything with Avery. Of course when I finally grabbed the camera Avery was done with it! Kaden loves to sit next to Avery!
Two peas in a pod!
Kaden is into trains these days. He likes to say "Choo Choo" and he pumps his arms in the air as he says it...so cute! Here he is sporting his train engineer outfit! He is excited to go on a walk in his wagon...he just spotted the wagon!

Avery Turns Two Months!

I can't believe Avery is two months old already! She is getting so big, she isn't a petite little thing! Which is funny because I don't feel like she eats a lot, but at least I know she is healthy! She is a great nurser, I haven't had any problems with her which is really nice! She eats every 3-4 hours. She does pretty well during the night. She wakes up once around 4am and then goes back to sleep. She started sleeping in her crib in her room on Saturday and it has been no big deal! And she hasn't woke up Kaden either!Avery loves to be in her swing. She isn't as crazy about the bouncer, but will sit in it for a while before she wants out. She likes to look around and is drawn to the color black. Her favorite position to be held is facing out with your arm under her belly. If she is upset and put her in that position, almost every time she will stop crying. She will get so comfortable she will fall asleep, which is really weird because she is sitting up and then her head falls forward.Avery also loves her bath time. She isn't crazy about getting her head wet, but she likes to lay on the foam mat and lay in the water. Kaden loves to help her with bath time too!She is getting so big, we have moved her up to 3-6 month clothes. Some of the 0-3 months fit but not too many!
Avery sleeps in some pretty funny positions. One day she was swinging and fell asleep and she was holidng her arms straight up, silly girl!
We have also started putting her in Kaden's old high chair, since he is in a big boy booster at the table. Kaden loves to have his sister at the table when we eat even if she sleeps right through it!
Avery has been a great addition to our family! We love her so much and it has been fun to see all the love Kaden has for her. At times, he would get jealous, but never lost any love for his sister. He is such a sweet boy! Avery is so good with Kaden, she is good with every little sudden attach of kisses or a tight hug, even when she is sleeping, she acts like nothing happened. She is a tough girl that gives us so much love! What a great 2 months it has been! It was a little harder than I anticipated with 2 at first, but I am getting it down and it is getting easier and easier everyday! Now, if I could just get their naps to coordinate (I know, wishful thinking)!!

Big Boy Bed!

Kaden has been sleeping in his big boy bed for over a week now for all his naps and at night. He is doing a great job and is loving his new found independance! He does a great job at staying in his bed until he goes to sleep and when he wakes up he usually will come find us. The first night he slept in it, there were tears, but I stayed with him and he fell asleep, after that he has been excited to sleep in his big boy bed! I found him like this during his nap on Saturday. He had started laying on the pillow the opposite direction. He was holding on to the slates on the bed when I found him, pretty cute!I can't believe Kaden is 20 months already! He is getting so big everyday and so smart. He learns something new everyday! His favorite passion right now is cars, any kind, anything with wheels really! He loves to ride in the car and go bye bye. Of course, he loves to be outside still. He is also a great helper, he loves to help in whatever we are doing, hence he loves to clean and take out the trash! He also likes to help build stuff (John recently built some furniture we bought). Kaden is so funny, he knows when to hammer, when to use the screw driver. Kaden will let you know what he wants or what he wants you to do. He will tell you or at least try to tell you in his language but then pull or push you where he wants you to go, it so so funny! He has recently got an interest in the potty, he will tug at his diaper if he needs to be changed. He learned how to flush the potty as well. He is doing really good with Avery, he makes sure to take care of her and gets very concerned if she is crying and we don't tend to her right away. He is a great big brother and an awesome little boy!

All Smiles!

On January 4th, Avery started smiling with us for the first time. John was holding her and talking to her and would give her a big smile and then she would smile back at him. She did it 3 different times! It was really cute. She continues to smile with us, Kaden can also get her to smile and is getting her to smile in these pictures!

Cardinals Stadium!

We went and checked out the Cardinals Stadium this week with our family from Oregon and my sisters. It was a lot of fun! This was just outside the stadium. Kaden loved the fountain! It was pretty cool seeing the stadium empty! We were pretty lucky, the field is usually outside the stadium to be in the sun when they aren't playing, but they were bringing it in for the Fiesta Bowl. So it was pretty cool!

Merry Christmas!

We had a very nice Christmas! It was fun with two kids! Kaden got into it this year. He would say "Santa" when he saw one and if you asked him what Santa says, he would say "ho ho ho!" Too cute! These are some pics next to our tree!Kaden did not want to cooperate with this photo session!Kaden going in for a kiss like he does ALL the time!At least he still loves her, although he gets very jealous at times! We went and looked at Christmas Lights on Christmas Eve! It was a lot of fun. Kaden loved it, especially getting pushed in his wagon. He loved his Santa hat, he wore it alot around the house and of course to see the lights!
There is little Avery all coozy and warm in the carrier! She slept the whole time.
Kaden got bored of riding, so he helped push the wagon!
Trying to get a family photo..Kaden wasn't having it...poor Avery is hiding!
Kaden loved the lights and wanted to walk right up to them.
Riding and pushing wasn't good enough, he wanted to pull all by himself, he did NOT want help!
Grandpa had a turn in the wagon and Kaden had fun sharing it with him!
Christmas with John's Mom and Family!
Christmas morning..Kaden must have been a really good boy this year! Santa was very good to him and Avery as well as their grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles!
Kaden acted like a pro opening his stocking! No help needed!
Avery enjoying herself!
Avery finally woke up to eat, so Kaden helped her open her gifts. Her first purse!
Kaden got me a necklace with a little boy and little girl charm on it, so cute! He picked it all by himself I am told!
In the afternoon we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate with the extended family! Kaden had a blast and was exhausted. This is him when we got home that night! Santa hat and all!
This was one of the gifts Santa brought Kaden. His own keyboard with a microphone! He is so funny, he lefts making noises in the microphone!
It was a very nice Christmas!

Such a Big Boy!

Kaden has graduated to a booster seat instead of a high chair! He prefers it! He always wanted to set in a chair rather than his high chair so we decided to try it out! He is doing great with it. He is even doing a good job at not flipping his plate!
Kaden and I did some holiday baking. He is a great helper. He loves to pour in the ingrediance and stir. He is pretty patient, which makes him a great helper. He listens very well!Of course he got smart with frosting the cookies. He frosted the first one and then took a unfrosted cookie and dipped it into the frosting and started eating it. It was pretty funny
