When have started to supplement with formula, because she wasn't getting enough. Being back to work and pumping just wasn't cutting it, but she is good now. She eats about every 3-4 hours. She usually has at least 3 solid naps a day and sleeps about 10 hours a night (I know...awesome right!).

Avery Turns 4 Months!
I can't believe this little one is 4 months! She is getting so big and getting such a personality! I love how she looks at you and then gets a huge smile on her face! She makes all kinds of cute noises! She entertains herself very well, but when she wants attention she will let you know!
She is such a good baby. She is content most of the time. She is a great eater, great napper, great sleeper at night, and overall an easy baby! She likes to be sat up, she isn't much of a cuddler! She wants to check things out. Even when you hold her she wants to face out. Things are starting to catch her attention and she is trying to interact with things. She likes to lay on her back and kick her legs!

She loves bath time and has just learned to splash with her legs. Avery is a major thumb sucker. It is how she calms down and relaxes to sleep. She alternates between hands, it is so funny!
Boy do we love this little girl! She is so sweet and cute as can be! She has made having a second baby easy!

Two Peas in a Pod!
Look at these little love bugs! Kaden loves his little sister so much! He loves to play or try to play with her. His new thing is to try to get her to hold toys. He loves to sit and lay by her. Of course he showers her with kisses all the time!
He always keeps track of her. He is such a loving little guy! Avery is so good, she is a tough little thing!

Day at the Zoo!!
Last week Suzy and McKenna took Kaden and Avery to the zoo! They had a blast! Kaden especially liked the elephants!
Kaden was very serious the whole time. He didn't really crack a smile, but they knew he was having a good time because he just kept saying "more, more." That is what he says when he really likes somthing. Kaden has to observe when it is a different environment and then decide how he wants to act. He is funny!
Avery slept most of the time, but when she was ready to join the fun, she was happy as could be! She probably appreciated the fresh air!
Of course Kaden loved the tractors! Any big cars, trucks, trains, Kaden is all about it!
Happy Girl!
Random
Bath Time! Avery and Kaden love bath time! Avery goes first and then Kaden gets his turn!
These are just some random pictures! Avery is a very smiley little girl! She loves when you smile and talk to her!
When I take Avery's picture, of course Kaden wants me to take a picture of him!
Look at these bucket heads! Kaden love to put buckets onhis head. He loves to make anything and everything a hat!
We got Avery this new little chair to lounge in and she loves it!
Luckily for Kaden it also is a toddler chair, I think he loves it more than Avery! He likes it because it rocks!

Avery Turns 3 Months!
I can't believe Avery is 3 months old! He is becoming her own little person with some personality! She has been very smiley! She likes to be talked to with big smiles and then she will smile back. Within the last week she has found her voice and has started to giggle and making noises! It is so cute! Avery is really ticklish! Especially under her chin and arm pits! She cracks up and squirms!
Avery is a very good baby. She eats well, every 3 to 3.5 hours, and has taken to the bottle well. She did not like it at first, but with a week or two of practice and preemie size nipple, she was good to go. She is still strictly breast milk unless she needs a little more then she will get an ounce or two of formula. Avery is really good with her routine, she is like clock work. She will eat, then play for an 1.5 hours or so then take a nap for an 1.5-2 hours and then get up eat and do it all over again! She is so happy during the day. She gets a little fussy in the evening, but I don't stick to her routine as much then so it may be my fault anyway!
Avery is a thumb sucker! Who knew she would find her thumb already! She likes to do it when she gets tired or needs to calm down. It is really funny! With that, she also is good with the binky (Kaden never really used a binky), which I am glad for...it helps settle her down unless she is really worked up!
Avery loves sitting in her high chair and look around. She also really likes her swing. She isn't big on tummy time yet. But for the most part she is easy going (except in the evening!). She loves her bath time, she likes the warm water on her tummy and chest area, she opens her mouth and tries to drink the water, too funny!
Avery is a really good sleeper. Not only does she take great naps, but she sleeps really good at night. Her last feeding is usually around 8:45 - 9:15pm and then she will sleep all night until about 5 or 6am! If she gets up earlier or even at 5am, I give her a binky and she will fuss a little and then go back to sleep until 6am or so. Good Girl!
Little Avery is the best little baby and we love her to pieces! She definitely makes our family feel more complete! Kaden and Avery get along so well. Kaden loves to be apart of whatever is going on with his sister and is a great helper! Avery's little smiles make my day! I have been back to work for one week. Of course, it is hard to leave the little guys, but I know they are in great hands and I couldn't ask for a better arrangement! It makes my time with them that much more special and makes family time especially wonderful! I love these guys more than I ever imagined!

Kaden
Kaden is getting to be such a smart little fella! He copies everything we do and how we do it. He has such a great memory....of the smallest things! He loves cookies and cars, he talks about both of them all the time. He is a sweet boy, giving kisses and love all the time!
Kaden got a hair cut and styled with a little fo-hawk! Kaden liked it, but he did think it was weird to have gel in his hair, he kept touching it saying, uh-oh. He says that when something is not right or how it usually is. He then would rub his spike against my leg, funny little guy!

Play Time!
Kaden has been enjoying play time with Avery a lot lately. He wants to be close to her and play with her . I got this play pad out for Avery and I layed her on it, next thing I know Kaden was making his way right next to her. I didn't ask him to or anything, he just wanted to lay next to his sister and play. It was so cute!
And of course part of playing is giving her lots of kisses!
Avery is becoming much more alert. She can hold her head up pretty well! Although she doesn't seem to last to long playing by herself. Of course I am sure she is use to her brother getting all up in her business!
Kaden loves to share everything with Avery. Of course when I finally grabbed the camera Avery was done with it! Kaden loves to sit next to Avery!
Two peas in a pod!
Kaden is into trains these days. He likes to say "Choo Choo" and he pumps his arms in the air as he says it...so cute! Here he is sporting his train engineer outfit!
He is excited to go on a walk in his wagon...he just spotted the wagon!

Avery Turns Two Months!
I can't believe Avery is two months old already! She is getting so big, she isn't a petite little thing! Which is funny because I don't feel like she eats a lot, but at least I know she is healthy! She is a great nurser, I haven't had any problems with her which is really nice! She eats every 3-4 hours.
She does pretty well during the night. She wakes up once around 4am and then goes back to sleep. She started sleeping in her crib in her room on Saturday and it has been no big deal! And she hasn't woke up Kaden either!
Avery loves to be in her swing. She isn't as crazy about the bouncer, but will sit in it for a while before she wants out. She likes to look around and is drawn to the color black. Her favorite position to be held is facing out with your arm under her belly. If she is upset and put her in that position, almost every time she will stop crying. She will get so comfortable she will fall asleep, which is really weird because she is sitting up and then her head falls forward.
Avery also loves her bath time. She isn't crazy about getting her head wet, but she likes to lay on the foam mat and lay in the water. Kaden loves to help her with bath time too!
She is getting so big, we have moved her up to 3-6 month clothes. Some of the 0-3 months fit but not too many!
Avery sleeps in some pretty funny positions. One day she was swinging and fell asleep and she was holidng her arms straight up, silly girl!
We have also started putting her in Kaden's old high chair, since he is in a big boy booster at the table. Kaden loves to have his sister at the table when we eat even if she sleeps right through it!
Avery has been a great addition to our family! We love her so much and it has been fun to see all the love Kaden has for her. At times, he would get jealous, but never lost any love for his sister. He is such a sweet boy! Avery is so good with Kaden, she is good with every little sudden attach of kisses or a tight hug, even when she is sleeping, she acts like nothing happened. She is a tough girl that gives us so much love! What a great 2 months it has been! It was a little harder than I anticipated with 2 at first, but I am getting it down and it is getting easier and easier everyday! Now, if I could just get their naps to coordinate (I know, wishful thinking)!!
Big Boy Bed!
Kaden has been sleeping in his big boy bed for over a week now for all his naps and at night. He is doing a great job and is loving his new found independance! He does a great job at staying in his bed until he goes to sleep and when he wakes up he usually will come find us. The first night he slept in it, there were tears, but I stayed with him and he fell asleep, after that he has been excited to sleep in his big boy bed! I found him like this during his nap on Saturday. He had started laying on the pillow the opposite direction. He was holding on to the slates on the bed when I found him, pretty cute!
I can't believe Kaden is 20 months already! He is getting so big everyday and so smart. He learns something new everyday! His favorite passion right now is cars, any kind, anything with wheels really! He loves to ride in the car and go bye bye. Of course, he loves to be outside still. He is also a great helper, he loves to help in whatever we are doing, hence he loves to clean and take out the trash! He also likes to help build stuff (John recently built some furniture we bought). Kaden is so funny, he knows when to hammer, when to use the screw driver. Kaden will let you know what he wants or what he wants you to do. He will tell you or at least try to tell you in his language but then pull or push you where he wants you to go, it so so funny! He has recently got an interest in the potty, he will tug at his diaper if he needs to be changed. He learned how to flush the potty as well. He is doing really good with Avery, he makes sure to take care of her and gets very concerned if she is crying and we don't tend to her right away. He is a great big brother and an awesome little boy!
All Smiles!
On January 4th, Avery started smiling with us for the first time. John was holding her and talking to her and would give her a big smile and then she would smile back at him. She did it 3 different times! It was really cute. She continues to smile with us, Kaden can also get her to smile and is getting her to smile in these pictures!
