Avery Turns 5 Months!

Avery is such a good baby! She is content most of the time. She gets a little crazy when we go out to dinner or hang out with friends, I guess she just gets over stimulated or maybe the noise is a bother. Other than that and then the occasionally tummy problem she is good!

She is all smiles! She will look at you and then give you a big smile, I love it! She is so big, she is pretty much moving right out of 9 months. This outfit is 12 months, it seems to fit her more comfortably! She is still bald as can be! Once in a while I'll put a head band on her, but I feel bad, because it must be irritating for her!She is still a super eater and sleeper! I can count on her for sure. She is also pretty flexible thou too! She likes to lay on her back and push around her toys. She can roll on her side, but hasn't rolled over all the way yet, but she is so close! She has a good grip, she is always holding on to something, whether it is my hair or her clothes! She is a noisy little one too! She makes all kinds of little noises!
Avery is drooling like crazy! She gnaws on her fists a lot too and of course she is still sucking her thumb! She is all formula now. Pumping just didn't work so well once I went back to work. We will start on cereal in a few weeks, but as you can see she is not deprived!
Avery is a sweet little thing with lots of love! Boy, do we love her!

Big Man!

Isn't this just the cutiest little boy you have every seen! Kaden is getting so big and getting so smart! He is a crack up! He is the biggest little copy cat! He is full of so much love, he has a never ending supply of kisses!Kaden has started to get a little crazy. He has been being rough with Avery on purpose, not sure what that is about, although I guess he is almost 2! He is such a little ham...cheesy! Love this little man!!

Busy Busy Busy!

Life has been busy at the Thompson Home!! Of course Kaden and Avery are getting so big everyday and they bring me a new surprise everyday! Work has been very busy for John and I! John just got promoted, which was a pretty big deal! I am very proud of him! There is only one other person that has promoted to his level within 5 years, and that was his former boss! He has such a passion and drive for his work and it pays off! Work is super crazy for me. I am in charge of opening a new store, which is so exciting, but a ton of work! Balancing work, John's new schedule, and making time for my babies is a little nutty! But it is good, lots of change right now, but at least it is good change for now anyway!Love this pic! These two little ones make my world turn!

Avery Turns 4 Months!

I can't believe this little one is 4 months! She is getting so big and getting such a personality! I love how she looks at you and then gets a huge smile on her face! She makes all kinds of cute noises! She entertains herself very well, but when she wants attention she will let you know! She is such a good baby. She is content most of the time. She is a great eater, great napper, great sleeper at night, and overall an easy baby! She likes to be sat up, she isn't much of a cuddler! She wants to check things out. Even when you hold her she wants to face out. Things are starting to catch her attention and she is trying to interact with things. She likes to lay on her back and kick her legs!
When have started to supplement with formula, because she wasn't getting enough. Being back to work and pumping just wasn't cutting it, but she is good now. She eats about every 3-4 hours. She usually has at least 3 solid naps a day and sleeps about 10 hours a night (I know...awesome right!).She loves bath time and has just learned to splash with her legs. Avery is a major thumb sucker. It is how she calms down and relaxes to sleep. She alternates between hands, it is so funny!
Boy do we love this little girl! She is so sweet and cute as can be! She has made having a second baby easy!

Two Peas in a Pod!

Look at these little love bugs! Kaden loves his little sister so much! He loves to play or try to play with her. His new thing is to try to get her to hold toys. He loves to sit and lay by her. Of course he showers her with kisses all the time!He always keeps track of her. He is such a loving little guy! Avery is so good, she is a tough little thing!

Day at the Zoo!!

Last week Suzy and McKenna took Kaden and Avery to the zoo! They had a blast! Kaden especially liked the elephants!Kaden was very serious the whole time. He didn't really crack a smile, but they knew he was having a good time because he just kept saying "more, more." That is what he says when he really likes somthing. Kaden has to observe when it is a different environment and then decide how he wants to act. He is funny!Avery slept most of the time, but when she was ready to join the fun, she was happy as could be! She probably appreciated the fresh air!Of course Kaden loved the tractors! Any big cars, trucks, trains, Kaden is all about it!
Happy Girl!

Random

Bath Time! Avery and Kaden love bath time! Avery goes first and then Kaden gets his turn! These are just some random pictures! Avery is a very smiley little girl! She loves when you smile and talk to her!
When I take Avery's picture, of course Kaden wants me to take a picture of him!
Look at these bucket heads! Kaden love to put buckets onhis head. He loves to make anything and everything a hat!We got Avery this new little chair to lounge in and she loves it!Luckily for Kaden it also is a toddler chair, I think he loves it more than Avery! He likes it because it rocks!

Avery Turns 3 Months!

I can't believe Avery is 3 months old! He is becoming her own little person with some personality! She has been very smiley! She likes to be talked to with big smiles and then she will smile back. Within the last week she has found her voice and has started to giggle and making noises! It is so cute! Avery is really ticklish! Especially under her chin and arm pits! She cracks up and squirms!Avery is a very good baby. She eats well, every 3 to 3.5 hours, and has taken to the bottle well. She did not like it at first, but with a week or two of practice and preemie size nipple, she was good to go. She is still strictly breast milk unless she needs a little more then she will get an ounce or two of formula. Avery is really good with her routine, she is like clock work. She will eat, then play for an 1.5 hours or so then take a nap for an 1.5-2 hours and then get up eat and do it all over again! She is so happy during the day. She gets a little fussy in the evening, but I don't stick to her routine as much then so it may be my fault anyway!Avery is a thumb sucker! Who knew she would find her thumb already! She likes to do it when she gets tired or needs to calm down. It is really funny! With that, she also is good with the binky (Kaden never really used a binky), which I am glad for...it helps settle her down unless she is really worked up!
Avery loves sitting in her high chair and look around. She also really likes her swing. She isn't big on tummy time yet. But for the most part she is easy going (except in the evening!). She loves her bath time, she likes the warm water on her tummy and chest area, she opens her mouth and tries to drink the water, too funny!Avery is a really good sleeper. Not only does she take great naps, but she sleeps really good at night. Her last feeding is usually around 8:45 - 9:15pm and then she will sleep all night until about 5 or 6am! If she gets up earlier or even at 5am, I give her a binky and she will fuss a little and then go back to sleep until 6am or so. Good Girl!
Little Avery is the best little baby and we love her to pieces! She definitely makes our family feel more complete! Kaden and Avery get along so well. Kaden loves to be apart of whatever is going on with his sister and is a great helper! Avery's little smiles make my day! I have been back to work for one week. Of course, it is hard to leave the little guys, but I know they are in great hands and I couldn't ask for a better arrangement! It makes my time with them that much more special and makes family time especially wonderful! I love these guys more than I ever imagined!

Kaden

Kaden is getting to be such a smart little fella! He copies everything we do and how we do it. He has such a great memory....of the smallest things! He loves cookies and cars, he talks about both of them all the time. He is a sweet boy, giving kisses and love all the time!Kaden got a hair cut and styled with a little fo-hawk! Kaden liked it, but he did think it was weird to have gel in his hair, he kept touching it saying, uh-oh. He says that when something is not right or how it usually is. He then would rub his spike against my leg, funny little guy!

Play Time!

Kaden has been enjoying play time with Avery a lot lately. He wants to be close to her and play with her . I got this play pad out for Avery and I layed her on it, next thing I know Kaden was making his way right next to her. I didn't ask him to or anything, he just wanted to lay next to his sister and play. It was so cute! And of course part of playing is giving her lots of kisses!
Avery is becoming much more alert. She can hold her head up pretty well! Although she doesn't seem to last to long playing by herself. Of course I am sure she is use to her brother getting all up in her business!Kaden loves to share everything with Avery. Of course when I finally grabbed the camera Avery was done with it! Kaden loves to sit next to Avery!
Two peas in a pod!
Kaden is into trains these days. He likes to say "Choo Choo" and he pumps his arms in the air as he says it...so cute! Here he is sporting his train engineer outfit! He is excited to go on a walk in his wagon...he just spotted the wagon!
