Kaden Crawls!!!

Kaden has done it! He officially crawled forward today. He crawled across the blanket! I put our laptop on the floor because I was going to use it, Kaden saw me put it down and all of a sudden, went straight for it. He crawled over a bunch of toys straight to the laptop. It was the funniest thing, he was so determined and wanted it bad! So I kept taking back over to the blanket and sure enough he would crawl over to it! It is definetly time to baby proof now!

A little closer!

Kaden is on the brink of changing my life forever!! He officially took 3 forward crawls! He has been all over the place...we have to keep a close eye on him. He's becoming very daring in his old age! He crawls backward everywhere, put him on the ground and he is crawling backward, turning in circles. He even likes to get up on his feet in the crawl position, I swear he is going to stand up! He is always looking for ways to pull himself up! This morning I had him on the floor in our room while I was getting dressed, I turned around and he moved himself to the door and pulled himself up on the door! So it was pretty exciting for him to take a couple steps forward!

Number FOUR!

I was changing Kaden's diaper this morning and he was making faces and what did I see...tooth number 4! The upper left tooth poking through...still no sign of the middle teeth. His gums are awfully swollen so we will see what else comes through!

Time to Drop the Crib!

Kaden is becoming quite the little mobile little guy! He isn't crawling yet, but so close! He can scoot backwards and climb up things to his feet. The last couple nights, Kaden will wake up crying and I will go in his room and I find him up on all fours backed into the corner or this morning I found him on all fours facing the bed rail and he was climbing up the bumpers....so John will be dropping his bed tonight!

Happy New Year!

We had a nice and quiet happy New Year's this year! New Year's Eve was the first day off I had since Christmas, I was exhausted! John worked the Bowl game at ASU and I stayed home with Kaden!

He had a big New Year's Eve. He broke his 3rd TOOTH!! Although, I didn't expect this tooth to be next, but it is here! It is the top right hand tooth! It is barely broken through! It will be interested how these teeth come through over the next several weeks!

Kaden also took his first shower! He did a great job and had a good time! We have a shower that the shower head detaches, so he played on the floor with his toys and I was right next to him and played in the water. He was pretty cute when the water splashed in his eyes! He didn't cry at all! It was much better than me stressing out trying to shower quickly and make sure he didn't hurt himself or completely loose it because he was board so it was a great compromise, and I get clean and so does he and we play!

I was reluctant to stay awake til midnight, I was so tired, but I did. John and I watched the New York Ball drop. Kaden woke up at about 11:30pm and had a hard time going back to sleep so I held him as he went back to sleep. He just missed midnight, he was sound asleep in my arms, but we shared as a family on the couch! 2010 is here! I can't believe it! I am excited for all that it will bring. 2009 was awesome bring it 2010!

A Very Merry Christmas!

Santa visited Kaden at my Mom and Dad's house this year!Kaden opened his stocking first! He was pretty funny...he did a good job and pulling all the items out!
Kaden must have been a very good boy for his first Christmas because he had the biggest pile! He had a blast with all the wrapping!Kaden got a family book that has pictures of him with his grandma's and grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins with their names! Of course he stares on the front cover!Kaden got his first piggy bank with his name on it! It is a piggy football!Kaden got his first sports balls....of course he went for the football! :)

Kaden also got his very own couch! I love these things! It is a trademark gift that I like to get the little ones in my life for their first birthday, but I couldn't hold out until then especially with how Kaden is climbing up on things now!
After we did Christmas Morning, we took a break and everyone got dressed and had breakfast...then we transitioned to Happy Birthday Mom! We always have Christmas and then my mom's birthday separate with decorations, a cake and all!Our first Christmas...so fun!
Christmas afternoon we went over to my Aunt Jeannie's house to meet up with the rest of the family and do our gift exchange, have good food and mingle! Dad played Santa and handed out the gifts!Kaden checking out these and scouting out his gifts!I got this awesome blanket from my sister Stephanie from our extended family gift exchange...isn't cool...it is really soft too!
We had a really nice Christmas and I look forward to many more as Kaden gets older! The little guy completely changes this time of year..and well everything..he makes it perfect!

Christmas Eve

I worked early on Christmas Eve so I got off at noon. I went home and we packed up the car (with no room to spare) and headed to Tucson with my sisters!...where's Kaden?.....there he is! He did really great on the car ride. I guess it helped that he had his two Aunts to love and entertain him all the way there. He didn't cry at all!Kaden had his festive Christmas Eve shirt.
We spent Christmas Eve at my mom and dad's. We relaxed and had the best pizza on earth...Mama's Pizza! It is a locally owned pizza place and it is my favorite. There are two things that make me miss home...Mama's Pizza and Eegee's (sandwhich place that serves the most delicious slushy type drinks). We hung out and my grandma came over with my Aunt and Unlce on my mom's side.Kaden and his Great Grandma Barbara!Of course there were gifts....Kaden made out like a bandit once again!Kaden got to open a couple special gifts from his Aunts. There were specially decorated shirts that said, "All I want for Christmas is my Auntie" and they decorated with their names!...Stephie!Shelley!Suzy!
